At LUMIGUIDE Smart Mobility Solutions, we’re passionate about software development, product design, and creating livable cities. Our goal is to make urban mobility easy and sustainable for everyone. This includes stress-free parking for bicycles and (electric) cars, as well as providing timely information for navigating whilst finding your way through the city. We aim for unclogged city centers and a pleasant environment for city dwellers and visitors alike.

What drives us

We are a team of people from various backgrounds and experiences, all working together on projects to make the world a better place. Our office is in Nijmegen, but we also work from home and on-site. What drives us? Innovation! We pride ourselves in constantly looking for new ways to improve our systems and to create new solutions to better serve our clients. Form and function are equally important, so everything we develop should be both easy to use and attractive to look at.

In 2023, we became part of CROWD – Creators of the outside world, a young and innovative group of established companies that is involved in designing the public space. CROWD aims to make a conscious contribution to the living environment of people with its products.

Timeline LUMIGUIDE

2014: Conception of LUMIGUIDE

LUMIGUIDE is the brainchild of a group of smart young entrepreneurs.
The focus is on bicycle detection based on stereo vision technology
and smart algorithms. First project in our hometown of Nijmegen.

2016: The world’s 1st bicycle route information system

LUMIGUIDE wins a prestigious tender and supplies the Dutch City of Utrecht with the world’s first bicycle route information system: bicycle detection in parking facilities and digital street signs give real-time info on available parking spaces.

2017: First project abroad

Our first bicycle detection projects abroad are installed in Belgium, with the UK following a year later. 2018 sees the birth of a distributor network in the rest of Europe.

2018: Need for change

Changes in the market and government procurement procedures necessitate a change in approach: LUMIGUIDE has to adapt and make use of its strengths: linking sustainable mobility related software & hardware in a smart way to help make cities liveable.

2019: The re-birth: LUMIGUIDE Smart Mobility Solutions

With a new logo, brand identity, website and focus, LUMIGUIDE Smart Mobility Solutions is ready for (y)our future!

2022: LUMIGUIDE becomes preferred supplier to ProRail

With this contract, LUMIGUIDE can contribute to the golden bike-train combination. LUMIGUIDE also completed two major new installations in Amsterdam in 2023.
